Helen Taylor is organising a fundraising event in association with Rock FM Cash for Kids appeal.
Smiling Alice’s Appeal is a bid to raise money for a young 9 year old girl, Alice.
Helen has agreed to Skydive on Saturday 16 August 2014 in a bid to raise at least £400 for Alice.
To help her with fundraising efforts she is organising a charity event to be held at Korova Arts Cafe and Bar in Preston on Wednesday 16 July 2014.
The event comprises of both children’s and adult’s sections with music and magic plus a themed poetry completion, cake sale, build your own aeroplane plane completion and lots more.
Alice was born with the rare chromosome disorder. She also has epilepsy, global development delay, problems swallowing, sensory difficulties, eczema, low muscle tone and poor immune system, all of which causes Alice to be ill very often.
She has gone through a lot but she still manages to smile Her mum say “She is an Amazing, Loving, Inspirational, Courageous and Encouraging little girl. She never ever gives in and reaches for the sky. She can put a smile on the most miserable persons face. She is my sunshine and little star.”
Alice needs a new special needs bed but this cannot be funded by Social Services. It costs £7,276, therefore the appeal is trying to raise the money to buy it.
More details about Alice can be found here.
Helens’ Korova Cafe event will be from 4pm to 6pm for the children section and 7pm until late for the adults and is free to enter.
Any help or support you can offer to Alice’s Appeal would be hugely appreciated. It can be a donation, your time to help fundraise or by holding your own event.
