Preston and District Scouts group braved the wet conditions over the weekend for a community event.
AdvertisementScouts, cubs and beavers turned out for the event in Highgate Wood on Saturday.
They turned their hand to balsam bashing to help clean up the woods.
The Friends of Highgate Wood in Fulwood group organised the event and 60 volunteers turned out to help.
Group Scout Leader Lesley Thomas said: “It was fun and we were able to help start bringing the wood back to be a pleasant place for locals to have fun in too.”
The event also featured a chainsaw carving demonstration.
