The Terra Marique returns to Preston with another delivery

Returning for another delivery, the Terra Marique could be seen straddling the Preston and Penwortham banks of the River Ribble earlier today.

It’s only a month from the last delivery, but the barge is back for another delicate drop off operation for a South Ribble power station.

The unique specialist heavy lift boat Terra Marique drifted down the Ribble, to a spot roughly level with the Evans Halshaw garage then twisted sideways across the river so the back end could unload the cargo. A well rehearsed operation.

Crowds gathered again to witness the spectacle.
