Preparations for the St Catherine’s Moonlight and Memories Walk

Hundreds of people turned out to raise nearly £65,000 for a Preston hospice.

The annual Moonlight Walk for St Catherine’s Hospice saw the 13.4 mile walk around the hospice grounds and then around Lostock Hall and Penwortham take place despite the forecasts of very heavy rain.

It didn’t dampen the walkers spirits as they ploughed on and raised tens of thousands for charity.

A big board put up for all the walkers to see showed £64,359 had been pledged.
