A Facebook page set-up by Lancashire County Council Trading Standards team is looking to fight scams in the North West.

The page (via a friendly face Scambuster Stan) can be found at

The aim of the page is to promote to the people of Preston and Lancashire information about the latest scams that people need to be aware of.
They also promote local activities happening in and around Lancashire that Trading Standards deal with.

A recent story this week was about the amount of false ‘meat’ found in takeaway food in Lancashire. Another story tells about sampling 20 Pizza’s. Unfortunately all them failed on either the ham, cheese, or both.

The stories are all of real interest to local people.
