Club Tonic on Hammonds Row
The friends group for Preston’s community radio station is hosting a fundraising night at Club Tonic on Sunday.
The Summer Spectacular for Preston FM sees DJs performing throughout the day an evening.
The event starts at 1pm and there is a £2 entry fee.
All money raised goes towards helping run the community radio station which broadcasts to thousands across the city and South Ribble.
Shaun Cairns from the Friends group said: “It felt like a great way to give something back to Preston FM.
“I’ve received support and training, as well as the opportunity to share my love of music and North West soul with its 27,000 listeners.”
Brian Ashman, station manager at Preston FM, said: “This is a brilliant initiative by our dedicated volunteers, who’ve formed themselves into a Friends group specially to raise funds to support the station.”
Jekyll (and Tom Crowley will be performing at the event
Organised by the Friends of Preston FM, the volunteers who man the station, it is being held at Club Tonic on Hammond’s Row, behind the Bears Paw pub.
The main evening DJ sets come from Chris McNally (Velio UK) from 7pm to 8pm and then Tim Melia (DJ Tim) from 9.30pm to 11.30pm.
