New street art by prolific urban artist D7606 has been seen in Preston

The highly distinctive works feature iconic female celebrities from the past superimposed against classic British icons, such as phone and post boxes.

His work at the moment is known as paste-up although his does dabble with stencils.

These are paper works of art and incidentally, also available to buy on his website at: http://d7606.bigcartel.com/products

The tag D7606 came from British Railway‘s diesel locomotive number. In a previous life he was a keen photographer of all things to do with railways.

D7606 wanted to do something different with paste ups he had seen around and he has a love all things British plus an appreciation of famous ladies from the past, so the two just kind of combined and happened.

His paste-ups can be found all over the country, including London, Bristol, Manchester and Birmingham
