A huge publicity campaign across the North West, ‘Love Food Love Preston‘, will see the city centre’s restaurants, grills and eating houses in the spotlight.
Love Food Love Preston was launched in 2012 by Italian Chef Gino D’Acampo and runs throughout August
The campaign, which runs throughout August, will see a focus around the August 16th, with the ever popular Lancashire Market as a key event.
In a new and exciting change to the Market this August, anyone who makes a reservation to eat in the city centre across that weekend will have the chance to ‘Dine with the Stars’.
Well know faces from cookery and TV will visit key restaurants in the city centre and enjoy dinner with some very lucky customers. Incredibly exciting.
For Love Food Love Preston this year Preston BID have been working closely with the Chair of Marketing Lancashire Paul Heathcote MBE and owner and Chef Patron of Duk~Pond Andrea Mellon.
Honorary Prestonian Paul Heathcote operates two fine restaurants in the city, Heathcotes Brasserie & The Olive Press.
Paul said: “Preston city centre has a great food offering some lovely places to eat.
“Love Food Love Preston will work to remind people what’s on their doorstep and encourage those who don’t generally eat in Preston to come and have a taste”.
Andrea Mellon, of the fabulous Duk~Pond said: “I have travelled the world over and I still believe Preston’s food offer rivals any similar sized town or city.
“We have a breadth of choice and experience when it comes to food and we’re looking forward to showcasing this offer in August”.
Preston BID Marketing and Events Manager Mark Whittle said: “this is the third Love Food Love Preston campaign BID has arranged and this year working with key restaurateurs has allowed us to add more elements to our celebration of dining in Preston.
“We’re looking forward to working with all city centre venues and hope the people of Preston and beyond come to sample their delights.
“BID’s role is to promote the city centre’s offering and Love Food Love Preston is just one of our annual events that works to improve awareness of our city’s attributes”.
