A new supermarket on Ribbleton Lane has been granted a premises licence.

More than 130 objections were received for the plan for Europea Delikatesy to sell booze from 8am to 11pm every day.

The city council’s licensing sub-committee on Tuesday morning said they could not find any reason to refuse the application.

Letters of objection said the area had many traffic problems and gangs of youths causing anti-social behaviour.

You can view the full licensing documents on the council website.
