Tisha Merry joins hospice staff for the fete day
Coronation Street star Tisha Merry joins a Preston hospice for their annual garden fete.
St Catherine’s Hospice have invited Tisha, who plays Steph in Corrie, to their Yellow Day fete in the hospice grounds on Sunday.
Tisha, 21, supports the hospice after her grandfather Babilas Felicien John-Baptiste was cared for there earlier this year.
She will be one of many tying a yellow ribbon to trees in the hospice gardens to remember their loved ones.

Tisha said: “I’m really excited for Yellow Day – it sounds like it will be a great afternoon out which people can enjoy whilst helping to raise money for the hospice. The funds will help other people have access to the same wonderful care my Granddad and my family did which is so important.
“The yellow ribbons are another lovely idea and a great way to remember my happy, kind and generous granddad this summer.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting people down at the hospice on June 15th and hope the community turns out in force to show their support for an amazing place.”

The Yellow Day runs from 12pm to 4pm in the hospice grounds on Lostock Lane.
Lorraine Charlesworth, director of income generation at St Catherine’s Hospice, said: “Our Yellow Day garden fete is a lovely event – it’s always wonderful to welcome our supporters into the beautiful hospice grounds.
“There are many attractions on offer and we’re delighted Tisha will be joining us – we’re sure there will be a few Corrie fans out there pleased to meet her and hear about life on the Street, particularly after the dramatic storylines she has been involved with recently.
“We hope lots of people will join us for a fun, family day out whilst helping to raise vital funds.”
You can make a yellow ribbon dedication via the hospice website, calling 01772 629 171 or visit the hospice.
