Whitsuntide Fair returns to Flag Market

Whitsun rides in 2010
One of Preston’s oldest annual events takes place from Saturday in the city centre.
The Whitsuntide Fun Fair sprawls across the Flag Market and surrounding streets.
Rides are open from 10am to 8pm from Saturday 24 May to Tuesday 27 May.
Families have packed the centre of the city during the Bank Holiday weekend for centuries in the search for fun.
Traditional fair ground rides are on offer including the “bomber” on Harris Street.
