Proud Preston ranked as one of the happiest places to live in the UK

Prestonians enjoying the sunshine by the River Ribble

Proud Prestonians take the most pride in their home according to a new survey.

The city has also been ranked as the eighth happiest place to live in the UK.

Research by property website Rightmove asked 50,000 people for their views on where they lived.

The top place for the second year running was Harrogate.

Stockport was the only North West place ranked above Preston.
