To mark what would have been Katy’s 13th birthday Penwortham Town Council have arranged Katy’s Picnic on the Park.

Katy battled with a Diffuse Pontine Glioma but was lost on January 19th 2012 after a very brave 3 month fight. Katy Holmes Trust was set up in her name.

The work Katy Holmes Trust does helps to not only raise much needed awareness but to raise the money to fund the research. They contribute to finding better treatments and hopefully one day a cure for paediatric brain tumours.

At Hurst Grange Park in Penwortham enjoy a picnic with activities on the day such as:

X-Factor Talent Show
Husky Huddle
Cake Competitions – judged by Justine Forrest
Tombola
Dance Troops and a DJ
Plus loads of gift and food stalls.
