All kinds of runners were out for Parkrun
Preston’s Parkrun turned two years old the Saturday just gone.
The run through Avenham Park takes place each Saturday morning with a fun 5k for runners of all abilities.
Many of the runners turned out in fancy dress on Saturday to celebrate, with pirates, tigers and Where’s Wally taking on the steep slopes of the parks.
More than 240 runners took part despite the weather being poor in the run up to the second birthday.
You can see pictures from the run over on the groups Facebook page.
Parkrun is a UK-wide event which is free to sign up to and lets you track how you do each week in the run.
Blog Preston took part in the first Parkrun, you can read how we got on.
