A new exercise studio officially opens at Fulwood Leisure Centre on Sunday.
AdvertisementThe city council have been working on the new studio for the past few months.
More than 100 classes are to be hosted every week at Fulwood, from yoga to high energy calorie burning sessions.
To celebrate the new studio the Mayor of Preston councillor Veronica Afrin will open it, with UCLan’s cheerleaders performing a routine.
Sunday 18 May has been declared an open day at the leisure centre, with taster exercise sessions running throughout the day.
Jimmy Khan, head of sport and leisure at Preston City Council, commented: “The addition of a second exercise class studio is great news for centre.
“This means we will now deliver the largest exercise class timetable in Preston.
“The Open Day will be a great opportunity for the people of Preston to visit the leisure centre, enabling them to see all the fantastic facilities that we have to offer.
“As limited places are available for the taster exercise class sessions, it would be advisable to arrive early to avoid disappointment.”
The Open Day runs from 9.30am to 4pm, taster sessions are £1 to do and can be booked on the day.
