The former Wilsons butchers shop on Blackpool Road

A former Ashton-on-Ribble butchers shop is to be converted into offices.

Wilson’s Butchers had traded on Blackpool Road since 1966 but closed in 2012.

Katie Birch, from Penwortham, has applied to convert the building into an office with a one-bedroom flat above.

An outbuilding in a rear yard is to be demolished and two parking spaces created.

The full plans are available to view on the council website.

Anyone wishing to comment on the plans should do so via the council website or by emailing devcon@preston.gov.uk quoting reference number 06/2014/0258 by Friday 16 May.
