Help clean up and tidy the flowerbeds in Preston City centre.
Preston Environmental Forum Action Group (PEF) are asking for help on Thursday 10 April to plant out and weed the Corn Exchange Beds. They need volunteers to help out so why not go along.
If you don’t know what PEF are all about they have provided this simple explanation: ‘PEF is a community based organisation who’s purpose is to support and develop grassroot community environmental groups and activities in Preston.
‘In Preston there is a whole range of really positive community groups and activities being run and managed by volunteers right across the city.
‘Groups and activities such as; food growing projects, community gardens, community allotments, wildflower projects, friends of woodlands or parks or greenspaces, food bag scheme etc…not to mention PEF’s own projects such as ‘Green the City’ for example the Corn Exchange Beds project and Broadgate Bee Meadow and Abundance Preston.
If you cannot make Thursday there will be further sessions on 24 April and throughout the year. Sessions are from 5pm and will only last an hour or so.
