Two people cut free after four vehicle Ribbleton smash

Two motorists have been rescued from their vehicles in Ribbleton.

A four-vehicle smash at the junction of Blackpool Road and Ribbleton Lane happened at 11.19am on Saturday morning.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service had to use specialist cutting equipment to free one man and one woman who were trapped in the wreckage.

One van and three cars were involved in the collision.

Lancashire Police and the North West Ambulance Service also attended.
