Starkie Street

A former lawyers office in the Winckley Square area is due to become new apartments.

Barker Booth & Eastwood solicitors who used to operate from Starkie Street have applied for further granting of a change of use.

The solicitors, based in Blackpool, had previous permission to turn the offices into flats but the time limit expired.

They have now re-applied to the city council saying the previous permission was granted and they wish now to convert the building.

The offices sit within the Winckley Square conservation area, and more accommodation is something the council’s new Winckley Square plan is looking to encourage.

You can view the full plans on the council website.

Anyone wishing to comment on the application can do so via the council website or email quoting reference number 06/2014/0207.
