Sir Tom Finney remembered in latest issue of Preston Magazine

The latest edition of the Preston Magazine has been released across the city.

It is a look back at local history and nostalgia of Preston and the surrounding area, produced by Penwortham resident Heather Crook.

Easter celebrations in 1893 are recalled, showing some things never change as it talks about the excitement at the annual egg rolling in Avenham Park.

Denis Watson pens a tribute to Sir Tom Finney, the “council house kid” as he calls one of England’s greatest ever footballers.
