A thatched roof has caught fire in Penwortham.

Four fire engines are on the scene at the house on Townley Lane.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue said an aerial ladder platform was fighting the flames.

The fire service as of 9.30pm are not allowing any cars down the road.

Residents are being asked to park and walk to their homes.
