Annie heads for the Charter Theatre Annie is set to premiere at the Charter Theatre on Wednesday.
The production by Preston’s own Musical Comedy Society, will open from Wednesday at 7.30pm, featuring a cast of 30 colourful characters led by Liz Procter, playing the dastardly gin-soaked Orphanage Principal Miss Hannigan, whilst Neil Townsend plays the kindly Daddy Warbucks.
They are joined by Kirsty Chapman as Grace Pharrell assistant to Mr Warbucks and Luke Taberer as Rooster Hannigan and Lucy-Ella Smith as Lily St-Regis.
Sofia DiMeo-Smith is to play the star role as Annie, the red-headed Orphan. The talented 10 year old from Fylde wowed the panel at auditions earlier this year.
Her cousin Lucy-Ella, who is playing Lily St-Regis, encouraged her and supported her immensely.
From its Broadway beginnings to the classic film musical, Annie’s journey from the hard-knock New York orphanage to the luxurious home of billionaire businessman, the award winning tale is certainly not to be missed.
The show runs at Preston Charter Theatre from Wednesday 16th April to Saturday 19th April at 7.30pm with matinees on Good Friday and Saturday at 2.30pm.
