A Preston businessman has received a special award for his quality work in the area.

Darren Pomfret who runs cleaning specialists PVC and Pation Clean was one of only a handful of businesses to win a Safe Trader Award.

The Lancashire County Council scheme has 4,000 independent traders registered but Darren was one of the 123 selected for the award.

Darren, who has run his businesses for eight years, said: “I’m over the moon with this award.

“Unfortunately too many traders have a poor reputation. I pride myself on not only doing a good job, but building up relationships with my customers.

“I love what I do. I’m always cheery, even on the wettest of days. It’s all about making sure the customer is happy and there’s no better satisfaction than that.”

The Safe Trader Awards recognise traders who are honest, fair and support vulnerable residents in Lancashire.
