The charity shop in Penwortham which was at the centre of a social media storm has added a cheeky sign to its window.
AdvertisementIntegrate recently opened a store on Liverpool Road but riled a local resident by advertising jeans at £1.50.
The resident wrote an angry letter to the charity who displayed it on their Facebook page.
Prestonians were quick to have their say on the letter and it went viral, being shared on social media and also featuring on BBC news show North West Tonight.
And now Integrate have added a cheeky ‘As seen on TV’ sign to promote their jeans.
The letter prompted a surge in visits to the charity shop.
Integrate say they are awaiting full and proper signage for the store.
The letter writer complained the cheap jeans were devaluing the area and had “knocked thousands of pounds off the price of my house.”
The author threatened to complain to South Ribble Borough Council who said they had not received any official complaints.
