The brother of missing Preston man Martin Lucas has made an emotional appeal for the public’s help in finding him.
AdvertisementLucas, 51, was last seen on Fishergate Hill around 10pm on Friday 21 March.
Peter Lucas said: “The longer Martin is missing the more worried we, as a family, are becoming. I just want to know that my brother is safe. If anybody knows where he is, or has had any contact with him in the past week or so, then please, please contact the police.
“Martin loves spending time outdoors and particularly enjoys bird watching. He often goes walking so he could be that he is in a rural area somewhere.”
“Martin if you see this appeal please get in touch with either us or the police, we just want to know you’re safe.”
Lancashire Police said Martin doesn’t currently have access to medication he needs, so may become anxious if approached.
Inspector Richard Terry said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Martin’s welfare. He left his address without any money, bag or phone and as time goes on we are becoming more and more worried. Please come forward if you have any information about his whereabouts.”
Martin Lucas may be wearing walking-type clothing such as a fleece or waterproof jacket and jeans or tracksuit bottoms.
He has short, light brown hair, is approximately six feet tall and is of medium build.
