Stalls line Friargate during a previous Lancashire Market
Final preparations are being put in place for up to 50,000 expected foodie fans to flock to this year’s Easter Lancashire Market.
Organisers Preston Business Improvement District say they are hoping on good weather on Saturday 19 April as more than 90 stalls line Friargate and Orchard Street.
From sausage rolls to artisan gifts there are all sorts of food, drink and crafts on offer at the market.

Some of the highlights at the event include:
– The Bee radio station broadcasting their breakfast show live from the market
– Ten visitors to the market will be selected, via a Random Act of Kindness, to win a £20 voucher for a local shopping centre
– Free caricatures of your family can be drawn
– A market voucher booklet is being handed out across the city centre on centre, including discounted products and services for more than fifth of the city’s businesses
The market has been running since 2010 and brings tens of thousands of visitors into the city centre.
Friargate Brow will be closed to motorists from the early hours of Saturday morning until late afternoon the same day.
