Preston City Council offer a free service to ensure older people’s boilers and gas fires are in good working order.
It might be a strange time to say this as we move into Summertime and the days get warmer but Preston Council want us to remind people that support is still available to fix faulty or old central heating boilers.
Working with specialist partners they offer help to make sure appliances are safe and working as best they can to save money.
Environmental Health Manager, Eirian Molloy, said: “If you thought that you had missed the offer in the winter you are in luck.
“This is a great opportunity for older people to make the most of free services or get minor repairs to their boiler done.
“It is great that we have managed to secure this money to provide support. The services are on a first come first serve basis, so I urge people to contact us as soon as possible as the money will only last so long.”
