Thousands of real ale fans will flock to the Continental for the festival
One of Preston’s Spring highlights is the return of the Continental’s Beer Festival.
More than 100 ales and ciders will be on offer at the Preston pub and arts venue as it holds its twelfth beer fest.
Alongside the beer hall there is live music and DJ sets in the beer garden marquee.
Confirmed to appeal at the festival are punk rockers The Hyperjax, Scottish rockers The Camels and Preston’s own Templebys playing hot-grit soul.
Doug Perkins and The Spectaculars are also on the bill, plus Darwen four-piece India Mill playing their indie-pop and retro rock.
Another Preston band The Kausters, plus 1.21 Gigawatts and The Remedby from the Ribble Valley are expected to play.
Robyn Talbot from the Continental said: “This time the festival promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
“As usual there’ll be well over a hundred ales, lagers, ciders and perrys in offer in the beer hall.
“No Continental Beer Festival would be complete without a line-up of live music acts in the outdoor marquee.
“Add to this some Morris dancers on the Thursday and a few other surprises and you have a beer festival like no other.”
Line-up times are:
Friday 16 May
6PM – The Remedy
7PM – The Kausters
8PM – Doug Perkins & The Spectaculars
9PM – The Fast Camels
DJ Sets, before, between and after
Saturday 17 May

The hog roast also returns for the festival.
We recommend getting down there earlier to sample some of the more popular ales as supplies often get drunk dry.

Saturday 17 May 12pm – 12am
