Rose Kinsella has been instrumental in the Community Gateway Association
A Preston community stalwart is to have a road named after her.
Rose Kinsella, a former Mayoress, has been chosen as the namesake for Kinsella Close in a new Deepdale development.
Kinsella Close would be named after a woman who has given her life to the city.
Mrs Kinsella is a former Mayor of the city in the late 80s and served as a councillor for 11 years until 2002.
She was also appointed as an honorary alderman of the city.
Housing issues have been her focus during her time as a councillor but also after when jlining the board of the Community Gateway Association.
She became the first chairperson of the organisation and has made it into one of the leading housing associations in the UK.
The report asking permission for the St Paul’s Road development road to be named after her goes to the city council at 2pm on Thursday.
