More roadworks announced on the M6 Motorway north of Preston.
As part of the Highways Agency’s ongoing programme of roadworks to maintain England’s strategic road network works are due to start in March at the northbound Whittingham Lane bridge, just north of the M6 junction 32 near Broughton.
Resurfacing and waterproofing works are due to commence on 21 March 2014 and should be completed by 31 March 2014.
The Highway Agency say the scheme is necessary to extend the life of the structure and will cost around £150,000.
The scheme will be carried out with a combination of lane, slip road and full overnight weekend carriageway closures, between junctions 32 and 33 northbound.
The Agency declares that once the scheme is complete road users will benefit from a smooth running surface and improved road markings.
