Rubbish catches fire at Ashton house

Fire crews have attended a fire at a derelict house in Ashton.

Firefighters at Penwortham Fire Station responded to reports of a fire at the detached property on Whinfield Lane.

They arrived to find rubbish on fire on the first floor.

Four sets of breathing apparatus have been used.

They were called out at 6.35pm on Wednesday.
