A major building society relocates its branch on a major shopping street in Preston.

The Nationwide branch at 41 Fishergate is currently under construction, having moved from their base at 91 Fishergate.

River Island vacated the site to move into a larger unit at St George’s Shopping Centre.

A Nationwide spokeswoman commented: “We will open for business in the Spring.

“Our investment in this new larger site will provide local members with a vastly improved experience, including access to more private meeting rooms and multi functional internal ATMs.

“More details will be made available in the Spring, but in the interim our team at 91 Fishergate continue to welcome local members to their branch.”
