A Preston arts cafe joins the fight against cancer with a special show on Saturday.
Korova Arts Cafe & Bar plans to bring together the arts community in the city for an evening of live music, poetry and documentary film.
On the bill are local musicians Avital Raz, James Todd, ukele player and Blog Preston food blogger Kris Ball, poetry from Nick Williams and poet Lorna Smithers.
Sean Keefe is to performa 90 minute show, a mix of theatre, comedy, music and magic.
Keefe’s show is his story of how he attempted to do 40 things before he was 40.
Face painting during the night will also be available from Heather Atkins and Angela Dunne.
Korova owner Sam Buist said: “We wanted to develop people’s understanding of cancer, because I believe people who have cancer that talking about the illness is crucial.
“We hope our stories will really move people and make them think.
“We have been touched by how many artists have come forward to participate in the event.”
The event takes place on Saturday 29 March from 8pm until midnight.
All proceeds from the night and 10% of the bar takings go to the Helen Rollaston Cancer Charity.
