Preston Police have launched a manhunt to find a man last seen in the Lea or Docklands area.
Officers are looking for a missing man believed to be aged around 30.
There has been a heavy police presence throughout the city as officers search for a “high risk missing person.”
The man is described as white, with dark hair, a goatee, wearing a three quarter length jacket.
Chief Superintendent Tim Jacques said the man had possibly been wearing a cap.
The search for the man was still ongoing at 10pm on Wednesday, having been launched during the afternoon.
Blog Preston readers have reported police presence in Plungington, University and Lea areas.
The public are asked to phone 101 if they have any information.
