Two world-class jazz musicians are coming to the Continental in early February.
Mike Walker and Stuart McCallum will be taking to the stage.
They are part of the supergroups The Impossible Gentlemen and The Cinematic Orchestra respectively.
Since meeting 20 years ago the two men have gone on to perform around the world. Now they are touring together and have fans including Jamie Cullum and Guardian music critic John Fordham.
A spokesman for the Continental said: “This recent musical collaboration came about because of a chance jam at a mutual friend’s party. Their musical and personal rapport was immediately apparent. By embracing each other’s musicality and their combined wealth of experience, Mike and Stuart create something new and fresh.
“Their astounding techniques are merely a means to an end – the musical journey is warmhearted and selfless. In this new duo, both are playing acoustic guitars and, by opting to perform in smaller venues, an intimate and welcoming setting for music lovers is created.”
The gig takes place at the venue on South Meadow Lane on Sunday 2 February, starting at 8pm.
Tickets are £8 and can be bought from Seetickets, WeGotTickets and Skiddle.
You can also buy in person from the Conti or the Preston Visitor Information.
