Love Your Heart takes place on Friday 14 February and the charity is asking workers to bring £1 to work and donate to help fund their work.

Heartbeat Chief Executive, Jill Rogerson said, “Here in Lancashire, 1 in 4 people are affected by heart disease. Everyone is likely to know someone who has been affected in some way – and that is why Heartbeat exists, to support local people who suffer from heart problems and those who are at high risk of developing them.

“We can all be proactive and try to reduce our risk of developing heart disease. Giving up smoking, getting active, cutting down on alcohol and taking more care over our diets are all things that can help to lower our risk of heart disease.”

Anyone wanting to set up a Love Your Heart day in their workplace should contact Michelle Hunt in the fundraising team on 01772 717 147.

If you work from home or just want to donate then you can donate online via Justgiving.
