Head-on car crash closes Preston roads

A driver was rescued from his car following a road traffic accident in Ashton-on-Ribble.

The accident took place at the junction of Shelly Road and Aqueduct Street in Preston at around 4.00pm last night ( Saturday 11 January).

Police attended the collison involving two vehicles in a head on crash. Aqueduct St from Fylde Rd just before the rail bridge was closed while the driver’s cars were removed from the scene.

The accident also blocked access to Shelley Road from Aqueduct Street for a short while.

Police remained at the scene for about an hour and thankfully report the incident as non-serious.
