Mayor of Preston, councillor Veronica Afrin, said “This is a great reason to visit Preston Market. As always there are great stalls on the market but there will be such a buzz about the place for this special event with special Chinese produce available to help celebrate this important event.

“The parades will be great with such bright colours on show and the drums will add to the atmosphere.”

It’s free to attend and anyone visiting will be provided with small free gifts to help celebrate.

If you’re going along to the celebrations and take pictures add them to the Preston Flickr group.
