Police are appealing for information after a community group’s bouncy castle was stolen.
AdvertisementThe Time Out Community group had the castle and other children’s play equipment stolen from a storage container at Sion Park Hub on Longridge Road, Ribbleton.
The items stolen include garden furniture, footballs, football goals and two large green garden gazebos.
PC Paul Geldard said: “The equipment belonged to a local community group who support local children in the Greenlands and Ribbleton areas.
“The people responsible have shown a complete and utter lack of respect for the hard work of residents who run the group, and for the children that use the facilities and equipment. This will have a devastating impact on the children and community who will not be able to take part in future activities and events that had been planned.
“I strongly believe that someone living within the Ribbleton area will know who is responsible for this crime and will hold information that police can use to locate the property and the people involved.
“The bouncy castle in particular is very distinctive with the community group’s name in vinyl letters across the bottom, making it very identifiable. If you have any information which could help, please come forward.”
Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
