A former village Post Office and general store is to become a four bedroom home.
Woodplumpton’s former Post Office on its main road has seen plans lodged to convert it.
Angela Hodgson has applied to return the building, which is currently vacant, to a residential property.
The application form states: “The property was previously used as a residential house with the shop vacant, the shop creased trading a number of years ago.”
The plans include removing the current frontage of the building which displays the Post Office and general store sign.
The Post Office was previously on the market for £379,996 stating it was a Post Office and store with “an enviable trading history”.
Anyone wishing to comment on the application can do so via the council website or email devcon@preston.gov.uk quoting reference number 06/2013/0838 by Saturday 4 January 2014.
