Elderly woman in hospital after being hit a car in Deepdale

A pensioner is in hospital after being hit by a car in Preston.


An 88-year-old woman was crossing Blackpool Road near to the junction with Manor House Lane in Deepdale.

She was hit by a blue Ford Focus at around 11.20am on Tuesday morning.

Police closed the road for around an hour as the woman was taken to Royal Preston Hospital.

Lancashire Police she is being treated for multiple injuries but she remains stable.

PC Matt Davidson who is investigating the collision said, “The area was very busy at the time and so I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened to get in touch with us if they have any information that they think could help.”
