Do you like shopping at the new Morrisons Supermarket in Deepdale? Did you know there is an app for that?

Yes, a new Coupon App has been specially designed just for the new Morrisons store on Blackpool Road. It offers exclusive discounts and helps you navigate around with a floor plan showing you exactly where goods are located.

In the ever more fierce battle for customer loyalty, and money, Morrisons are looking to expand on their coupon system. The Deepdale app takes their coupons to the next level with customer friendly features such as notification of new coupons in-store and the ability to receive additional exclusive discount coupons when you are within or near to the Preston store.

You can record your shopping list directly within the App and even say the items you want to purchase. Voice recognition will create your shopping list for you.

Early reviews of the Deepdale only app have been favourable

Developer Blue Logic Hosted Services say the initial launch of the app on 12 December 2013 was ‘soft’ with a ‘big’ launch later in January

It’s free and can be downloaded on iTunes or the Google Pay store. Requires iOS 6.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Optimized for iPhone 5.

Morrisons chose Preston for their new style ‘food retail warehouse’ experiment equipped with ‘tunnel scanners’ to speed up the checkout process, TV screens advertising brands and an on-screen recipe advisor in the produce department.

Have you downloaded the app? What did you think? Let us know in the comments below
