Updated: 9.52am on Thursday 21 November. Mark MacMahon has now been found, the police thank the public for their assistance.
A 52-year-old man has gone missing from Fulwood in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Mark MacMahon was last seen on Sharoe Green Lane and his family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
Lancashire Police have issued an appeal for information.
Inspector Wendy Fitzgerald said: “We believe Mark is likely to be in the Lancashire area, we know he has links to Preston and to the Lytham area and so would urge people across the county to be vigilant and anyone who thinks they have seen him should contact Lancashire Police on 101.
“Mark has some mobility issues and a further medical condition which means that he cannot feel the cold and therefore both we as the police, and his family, have concerns for him if he is outside without shelter in this cold weather.
“If anyone has seen him then we would ask them to contact us as soon as possible.”
Mark is described as white, with short, dark brown hair and is clean shaven. He is of a large build with a pale complexion and wears glasses. When he was last seen he was wearing a dark t-shirt and dark trousers and a brown coat. He uses crutches to help him to walk.
If anyone has seen him, they should contact police on 101.
