Fire crews attend blaze at business building in Ashton

Two fire engines attended a fire at a business in Ashton.

The fire, at a building near to the Trax BMX track on Wallend Road, started at 12.53am on Sunday.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said they were attending the fire at the building which is 20m x 10m and single storey. It was “well alight” when the crews arrived.

Two jets were used to bring the flames under control.

No damage report has released.

A loft fire also saw three fire engines attend in Fulwood, on Ridgemont.
