Anyone putting on events in Preston is being asked to contribute to the next issue of the Preston Guide.

The bi-monthly magazine is distributed to 5,000 Prestonians to keep them abreast of what’s going on in the city.

Editor David Henckel, who blogged last month on the financial situation of the Guide, is calling for venues and promoters to get in touch.

He said: “Christmas is just around the corner and this is the ideal opportunity to let your customers (new and old) know about all the exciting things you have planned for the festive season. Whether it’s a local panto, an amazing gig, the perfect New Years party or a food and drink promotion there’ll be plenty of competition – so get listed and get ahead,

“The Preston Guide is a bi-monthly magazine with listings and features for art, culture, music, film, events, activities etc…. Listings are free so if you’ve got anything coming up in December 2013 / January 2014 that you’d like to spread the word about – let us know.”

The Guide features everything from comedy, music to the arts and cultural events.

Information on the event should be emailed to thetwohatsinfo@gmail.com and include the following information.

Please provide listings in the following format:

Name of event
category (Art, Music, theatre, film etc)
short informative description (30 words max)
Date/time
cost
address/location
contact info
ticket information
Age restrictions if any
Links any other notes

All listings must be submitted by Saturday 23 November at the latest.

The Preston Guide and The Two Hats have also teamed up to offer a special advertising package to local businesses. If you want to reach a Preston audience, you’ll be able to advertise in the Guide and to Blog Preston’s audience of over 30,000 Prestonians a month. Just contact charlottebrockbank@yahoo.co.uk for pricing information.
