Lock-In 01

Droves of students descended upon St. George’s Shopping Centre in Preston on Tuesday night to see Hollyoaks Jennifer Metcalf with TV host Mark Wright, and also to grab the freebies and bargains on special offer for the occasion.

Jennifer and Mark were met by shouts and screams as they entered the main rotunda to take their place on the centre stage to start off the proceedings. There was a ‘meet and greet’ with 30 lucky student winners of a Facebook and Twitter competition to have a quick chat and their photo’s taken with the two celebs.

Following the ‘meet and greet’ session, students were frantically trying to get the autographs and talk to their idols before the competition winner was announced.  With a fabulous £1000 prize in the offing, everyone who entered the draw had their fingers crossed and hoped that they would be chosen. After all, every student would love to get their hands on that sort of money.
A number was selected randomly by Jennifer and Mark which would match one of the hopeful students which had previously registered online with the organisers, Freshfield Marketing Communications. The lucky student who won the prize money was seventeen year old Lucy Dobson of Newman College, Preston. She was brought up on stage to receive the money and meet the two guests of the evening.

The evening ended with much pushing and jostling of students desperate to get autographs and chance their luck to get a final close up of the celeb pair before they left the centre.

All in all, the event was an absolute rip-roaring success, being made possible by the tremendous coordinated efforts of the St. Georges Centre team,  all the retail outlets and the expertise of the Freshfield Marketing.
