A Santa takes on last year’s Dash through the city centre
The Santa Dash returns to Preston on the first weekend of December.
Hundreds of runners, dressed up as Santa, are expected to pound the two-mile route around Lostock Hall for charity.
This is the first year the event has not gone through Preston’s city centre, instead it will start and finish at the St Catherine’s Hospice – who the money raised goes towards.
The Dash starts at 1.30pm on Saturday 7 December and it is £10 for those aged 18 or over and £5 for everyone 17 or younger.
Registration includes a santa suit and for those taking part in the Rudolph Rumble, a half-mile fun run for those aged eight and under, it includes antlers.
The Santa Dash is part of a day-long Christmas festival at the Hospice to raise money for the care it provides.
Fundraisers are also encouraging local schools and nurseries to organise their own Santa Dash. Anyone wanting to can phone the fundraising department on 01772 629171 or email norman.cutler@stcatherines.co.uk.
To register for the event, visit the St Catherine’s Hospice website.
The event is sponsored by napthens solicitors.
