Image of a man issued by Lancashire Police in connection to a sexual assault

Police in Preston after still trying to trace a man in connection with a sexual assault in January.

A 36-year-old woman was assaulted at an address on Pechell Street and this CCTV image of an Asian man has been re-released.

DC Melanie Caunce said; “We have released an image of a man that we believe was in the area at the time of the offence and we are appealing for him or anyone who recognises him to come forward. If anyone has any other information that they think could help, I would ask them to contact us.”

Lancashire Police say they have recently received information to suggest the offender man be from the Blackburn area.

The man pictured is described as being Asian, large build, in his 30s or 40s, with balding hair and slight stubble.

He was wearing a blue top, dark trousers and brown shoes.

Anybody with any information should contact police on 101 quoting log number LC-20130130-1021.
