Updated: Lancashire Police have confirmed the two women were found safe and well close to York.
Police are growing increasingly concerned for the whereabouts of two women from Preston.
Clare Kelly and Rose Lee Wood have not been seen since around 7.15pm on Wednesday in the Whittingham area of Preston.
It is believed they may be travelling towards Barnsley where one of the women has family connections.
Detective Inspector Warren Atkinson said: “These ladies have not been seen for more than two days and we are growing increasingly worried about them as they both need medication which they have not got with them. I would appeal for anyone who has seen them, recognises their descriptions, or knows where they might be to get in touch with us.”
Clare, 25, is described as white, around five feet tall and of medium build with collar-length, dark brown, straight hair. When she was last seen, she was wearing a pink vest and black jogging bottoms with a navy blue coat and she had her hair up in a ponytail.
Rose, 24, is described as white, around five feet one inch tall and of medium build with shoulder-length, dark brown hair and a Liverpudlian accent. When she was last seen, she was wearing a white and blue jumper, grey jogging bottoms and a black coat.
The women also have connections with the Leyland area.
