A plan for outline planning permission for 70 new homes to the South of Grimsargh, near Preston, are set to be rejected.
AdvertisementCouncillors have been advised to reject the plans, from Wainhomes, for land off Ribblesdale Drive.
Council officers state the new homes would “significantly compromise” the space between the North East edge of Preston and where Grimsargh begins.
The application has angered local residents who have unanamiously objected to the application, with 80 of them turning out to a public meeting to voice their concerns about the plans.
Letters of objection from 169 local residents have been received, with the Parish Council leading the campaign against development.
You can view the full plans online at the council website.
The planning committee will meet at the Town Hall from 10am on Monday 4 November.
